I Like The Rain
God kissed me on the cheek
When He gave me a father like you
You liked looking out the window
And saying "I like the rain", as it came through
You raised me from a baby
One look and your heart was mine
God made me a special gift
A loving father to raise me
And of all the children
I was chosen in God's own time
If I feel tears on my face
I think of the many moments
I felt his embrace
I remember how we liked the rain
And as it runs down my window pane
It somehow makes me feel good
When I see the rain
I was daddy's little miracle
When God held my spirit in his hands
It was meant to be
Just mommy, daddy and me
God made me a masterpiece
So when it rains I will tell all I know
"I like the rain", for my daddy told me so.

Let
Me Be Your Wings
Let me be your wings
I want to help you fly
Into the world and the beauty of the sky
Let me lift you high
Way above the trees
Listen to the bird
Let us soar like these
Let me be your wings
Carry you to a flower bed
All the pretty colors
Dance for us instead
Let me take you through the clouds
The stars are now ours
We can see the moon
The milky way and planets
Which God made
Let us take a look at better days
Let me be your wings
Be your heart as well
Hold you in my arms
I can always tell
You are the one for me
Let me be your wings
So we can both be free

A Painting Of Love, From The Master
Painter
On a clear day, I see a painting in the sky
I see myself painted so loving and so new
When I look I see the wonder, people now can view
My eyes are the deepest blue
Like the ocean in the sky
My heart is red with color
From the Master who created
With His beautiful eyes
For He told me I am a miracle
He wanted all to see
So that is why He desired to paint the life of me
For He has seen me crying
He saw me laugh with joy
The picture of what He made
He loves to paint the beauty that He knows
And you can watch the color
He paints in my life to tell you so
If you wonder why I am painted
It is because I can feel
What makes a person
Who is so very real
Sometimes I did not think I could hold on to God
Who paints what others do not find
But God's art is all around me
I will see the Master Painter
In his own time
Jesus has protected me
As I walk in this world so true
When He paints me
The angels are singing too
I have seen His finished work
God was very kind
For He only painted the blessed things
Which He proudly shows
I am glad I met my Master Painter
For I love Him so.

A Gift For Music
When I listen to your heart
I can hear violins
Your voice comes to me so beautiful
I love it how you sing
You have the gift of music
A song all your very own
I look out my window
A rainbow is all around
I feel your music in the meadows
The birds sing it in the trees
I will always remember
Your heart's melody
When I see a butterfly
In the sky so blue
I will think of your gift of music
The soul God's given you.

A Borrowed Father
An angel came to me
She whispered in my ear
I am going to send you a father
Who is going to be very dear
He will have everything you need
He was made for you especially
Given with God's love
He has much to offer you
This father can give you love
You see, he was borrowed
His blood is not your own
Yet he sees with wisdom
Beyond the world unknown
Tell him he is wanted
Give him your heart and soul
It takes a special father
To love a daughter he barely knows

The Stars In Your Eyes
As I sit here by my window
I look out as day is done,
I see a beautiful sunset
It takes my breath away.
I wish we could both see it
At the end of a lovely day.
As night starts drifting in
I see a falling star
And I know you are wishing
Upon that same star,
I see the stars shining in your eyes
Beautiful and new,
I would like to just hold your hand
So God's energy shnes through.
If God did not send you
I would have been very sad,
Laughter and happiness
May not have come my way,
Now I am able to see the love of God
In the things He brings to me
The flowers, trees, the grass that grows
The bloom of a lovely rose.
The Holy Spirit you tell me of
The greatest gift of love,
God sent me a guardian angel
With the stars in your eyes,
I have been blessed with a living spirit
The Lord has sent to me
When I see all the wonder of the world, I see.
I may be waiting at my window
I may need your love time and time again,
You help to take away my pain
You are my greatest friend.

Going Home
In Memory of Dana Reeve
You will see me in every child
In the people who cannot walk
I promise to be with you
Whatever the cost
I loved a Superman
So very kind and true
I stood by him and helped him
With everything I could do
Do not grieve that I am going home
For my love is waiting for me
He is now a spirit of God
That is what I want to be
My work will now be done by others
For those who cannot move
I am in heaven And God will see you through
I understand the pain and heartache
If you lose your way In the maze of life
I will hold your hand each day
Look for me in the birds that fly
High in the air
For I and my superman
Will be flying way up there

Tell Me Who I Am
Tell me who I am
For I do not always know
I have looked at rainbows
I also have seen them glow
Tell me who I am
Somewhere I was lost
In this world of ours
I have payed the cost
Tell me who I am
What will become of me
I am in the dark
Where only Jesus sees
Tell me who I am
Love me a little, please
For I have had much hurt
Yet I know Jesus is there for me
Tell me who I am
Where did I begin
I try not to cry
Or have tear drops in my eye
Can anyone hear my plea
Just Jesus hold's on to me.

A Touch Of Love
I have many friends
More than I ever knew
They touch me with their love
Their souls come shining through
I have so many gifts
Much more than I can see
When I look into my mirror
Jesus comes to me
A touch of gentle love
Makes me all warm inside
I feel I belong to many
Heaven's joy is now my guide
Let me take your hand,
As I reach now for it's warmth
Let me hug you special friend
Let me see moonbeans ever glowing
For true love never ends
I feel your touch, a gentle kiss
I see golden light shining in your eyes
To be blessed with so many friends
Is much to my surprise.
You all know a woman
Who felt no love at all
You loved me still,
As tears trickled down my face
You raised me up,
With Jesus help and call
I live now a woman
Who has found a name
I have people who love me
And didn't care from where I came
Jesus gave me the gift of life
With friends I'd one day know
You are all God's presents
He Himself, has made you glow.

I Was Told A Story
I was told a story about a little girl who cried
She did not belong anywhere, even though she tried
Her mother put her in a home for unwanted children
The child could never understand
What made her life so different
Or what was to be her plan
I was told a story about a little girl
Who was so very sad
Someone took money to place her there,
In the hope some other mother would want to care
This child only had her teddy bear
Who knew the secrets of her heart
She asked to take this treasure
When she was given a new start
I was told a story about a little girl who was lost
For her new mother did not want her either
Though paid for, at a cost
The only love this three year old ever had
Was in the teddy bear she carried
So she would not be all alone and sad
I will never forget her heartbreaking story
Or the abuse that she lived through
This is just one of life's tragic stories
I pray to God
Such sadness never comes to you

Forever Friend
My forever friend can see my soul
She can hear the dreams coming from my heart
I am truly blessed with an angel
Who helped me find God's path
There are no poems great enough
Or sweeter songs that I could sing
She made me her spirit sister
In the love of Jesus that she brings
Now I can fly as butterflies do
Or I can become a mermaid true
For I feel this love for Jesus
When I look upon His earth
My forever friend helped me see the beauty
Of the flowers and the trees
Because of my new birth
There is so much loveliness for me
A forever friend will never leave
She is with you always
And will wait at the gate of eternity
To forever stay
The love she touched me with
Helped me understand
If I was never born to be
I would be missed
By all who needed me
Thank you for holding me up
When I was sure that I would fall
You made me who I am
So I can answer Jesus' call

I NEVER WALK ALONE
I never walk alone
Two special people walk with me
I may not be able to see them
Yet in my life to come
They will always be with me
I remember the good times
Both laughter and tears
They will stay with me
As I walk through the years
I never walk alone
In a valley I have never known
Jesus is above me, taking my hand
He washes my tears as I continue
Walking in my unknown land
Life is hard at times
If you have troubles to see
Death maybe forever, yet with Jesus
I will always be free
I will be strong in His loving arms
Heaven is life everlasting
Jesus hands has touched me
I will never walk alone
For I have lived with love
From both parents who are now up above
Dear Jesus, I will smile, for You are very near
You have been with me, year after year
All I am or ever shall be, I thank my mother and father
I was their life, now I must show them,
I can make it on my own
Jesus is now my father,
I will never walk alone

The
Burden Of The Cross
Jesus may I follow you
As you take your cross and walk
May I wash your face with your blood
You take my sins at a great cost
As you carry the cross
How much you love your people
Small as I am
The way is so long,
Yet you do it because you are The Great "I AM"
Can I stand at your side,
I never was so close to God
I am thankful, in His image I am made
I feel your sorrow and your suffering
I need to be near you
My heart belongs to the King
The way to the cross where you lay
With nails in your hands
I will be with you until it is finished
When you cry out
'Forgive them for they no not what they do"
My Dearest Jesus, please forgive me too
